Water Loans

Propel provides individual and commercial loans to owners of water rights in Texas.  Propel’s water lending practice is currently limited to holders of Edwards Aquifer groundwater withdrawal permits.  Propel’s water loans are unique in that Propel does not require any collateral other than the Edwards Aquifer permits themselves.  In other words, Propel does not require that a borrower sign a second lien on its property or pledge any other personal or commercial assets as collateral for a water loan from Propel.

Propel developed its water lending practice in order to offer owners of water rights the following benefits:

• Increased Borrowing Capacity: Our water loans enable borrowers to borrow solely against a valuable asset not generally recognized by other lenders.
• Investment Sense: Propel's water loans allow borrowers to obtain capital from their water rights without having to sell these rapidly appreciating assets.
